Freshman Emma Narita was the top Aztec finisher

September 12, 2023 (Albuquerque) - The Aztec women’s golf team wrapped up the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational at the University of New Mexico Championship Course Tuesday. SDSU was led by freshman Emma Narita, who was making her collegiate debut.
Narita (Tokyo, Japan) shot a one-over-par 73 Tuesday after shooting 15 pars, including her last 12 holes. She finished the tournament with 40 pars, tied for the third most.
Barbaglia, who was making her first career collegiate start, and Anna Lina Otten both finished with a 228 (+12). Otten shot a 76, aided by a team-high two birdies, after shooting a 76 in both of her rounds Monday. Barbaglia shot a 79 on Tuesday.
Andrea Gomez with a 232 after shooting an 82 on Tuesday.
Anika Sato, who tied for seventh in the first round after shooting a one-under-par 71, was hampered by an injury in the second and third rounds and withdrew from the tournament.
Pepperdine won the tournament with a 14-under-par 850. UNLV’s McKenzi Hall and Kent State’s Veronika Kedronova tied for the individual title with a nine-under-par 207.
