SHERIFF’S GANG DETECTIVES INVESTIGATE VEHICLE SHOOTING IN LEMON GROVE

April 5, 2017 (Lemon Grove) – Shortly before 1 p.m. this afternoon, deputies from the Lemon Grove Sheriff’s patrol station responded to reports of shots fired at an occupied vehicle in the 3900 block of Kempf Avenue.

Upon arrival, all parties had fled the scene, according to Detective Scot Woodring.  Detectives from the East County Gang Street Team and the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s station responded and processed the crime scene. 

Detectives from the East County Gang Street Team learned that a vehicle occupied by four victims had been shot at by an unknown Hispanic male in broad daylight. No one in the vehicle was injured.

Deputies conducted a safety check of the surrounding area but no additional victims or damage was located.  The investigation is continuing.
