SHERIFF HOSTS WOMEN’S CAREER EXHIBITION AUGUST 13

August 9, 2011 (San Diego)—“Put a star in your future and become a part of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department,” states in invitation for a career exhibition Saturday, August 13. The Sheriff’s Department is creating a large pool of diverse and qualified female candidates for the 2016 opening of the Las Colinas Detention Facility in Santee.

 

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 13 at the Sheriff’s Department main office, 9621 Ridgehaven Court in San Diego 92123.

 

Participants will will learn about a wide variety of employment opportunities that the agency offers. The department has 170 vacancies in law enforcement, detentions and professional divisions for both men and women. There will be demonstrations, food and department representatives will be on hand to answer your questions. You can also learn about various volunteer opportunities from the Explorer Program for teens, Senior Volunteer Patrol, Search and Rescue, Reserves and the Dive Unit.
