Funds to benefit senior citizens with no local family members
November 25, 2010 (Lemon Grove)--The Sheriff’s Lemon Grove Station, Lemon Grove Kiwanis, and Spring Valley Kiwanis will host a Holiday Pancake Breakfast on Friday and Saturday, December 3 & 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Pancakes, sausage, coffee, milk and orange juice will be served. Children can also visit with Santa at the United Methodist Church.
The address is 3205 Washington Street, Lemon Grove. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for kids age 10 and younger, children younger than 3 eat for free.
The event will raise money for the Sheriff’s “You Are Not Alone” (YANA) program. Seniors who live alone and have no friends or family available to check in on them every day get phone calls and welfare checks from volunteers. The “YANA” program has saved lives in times when a medical crisis renders a person helpless.
