December 23, 2010 (El Cajon) – A massive sinkhole in the 1900 block of Verde Glenn in El Cajon has forced shut down of the street, putting a crimp in holiday entertaining plans for several households. Frustrated residents made numerous calls last night, only to encounter multiple agencies that claimed fixing the problem was not their responsibility.

Today, however, the County agreed to fix the problem, Channel 8 news reports: http://www.cbs8.com/Global/story.asp?S=13734569.  But repairs could take some time; meanwhile residents worry over how holiday guests will access their homes and voiced concerns over elderly guests, since emergency vehicles cannot reach their residences.
