SMALL BRUSH FIRE DOUSED NEAR 52 AND SANTO ROAD

September 19, 2010 (San Diego’s East County) – A half-acre brush fire reported at 12:45 p.m. has been swiftly doused north side of Mission Trails Regional Park.

 

The blaze, burning along State Route 52 east of the Santo Road exit, briefly slowed traffic while San Diego firefighters and two helicopters doused the fire.

 

The fire was started by a motorcycle accident. Winds carried drifting smoke into Santee and Lakeside neighborhoods.
