SPRING VALLEY WOMAN KILLED IN RANCHO SAN DIEGO CRASH

March 29, 2016 (San Diego’s East County) – Clementine Scott James, 67, of Spring Valley died of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash in Rancho San Diego Sunday afternoon, the Medical Examiner’s office reports.

The victim was a passenger in a Toyota Camry sedan traveling south on Jamacha Boulevard near Trace Road when the sedan was struck head-on by a northbound SUV driven by a 21-year-old

She was pulled from the wreckage, along with her husband, but suffered cardiac arrest.  She was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Her husband, 70, suffered minor injuries.

The SUV driver suffered a broken leg and was also taken to a hospital. 

Cause of the deadly accident remains under investigation, according to the California Highway Patrol.
