April 1, 2010 (San Diego's East County) – The construction work on State Route 67 continues nightly at 9 starting Monday, April 5 to Thursday, April 8 as crews close the highway between Prospect and Woodside Avenues.
Construction crews have scheduled a concrete pour for Thursday evening at 9 p.m. and will close Prospect Avenue between Graves and Woodside avenues. The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is also closing several on- and off-ramps in the area. Beginning at 8 p.m. the southbound on-ramp from Magnolia Avenue and the northbound on-ramp from Bradley Avenue will close. At 9 p.m. the northbound Prospect Avenue off-ramp and Broadway/Graves Avenue on-ramp will shut down.
All the closures will reopen daily at 5 a.m. The work is part of the SR-52 Sunny Side Gateway project that is scheduled to be completed by spring 2011.
Crews will place detour signs to assist motorists around the closures.
