October 31, 2013 (Lemon Grove) – On October 30 at 1:30 a.m.,  Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home invasion at 8047 Blossom Lane in Lemon Grove.

According to Sergeant Matthew Cook III, four  African-American men in ski masks and dark clothing broke down the front door, forced victims to the ground and robbed them at gunpoint, shooting one victim in the head.

A search of the area with both the Sheriff’s ASTREA and K-9 dog team failed to find the suspects. Two additional victims had fled the residence and were located.  Deputies found an indoor marijuana grow and unknown quantity of dried marijuana at the home.

One victim was transported to UCSD with a head wound, that did not appear to be life threatening.

Lemon Grove Detectives responded to the scene and were assisted by the Narcotics Task Force (NTF). The investigation is on-going at this time.
