August 10, 2017 (Lemon Grove) -- Bestselling author T. Jefferson Parker will visit the Lemon Grove Library on Saturday, September 30 at 2:00 P.M. to promote his new novel The Room of White Fire. Parker will read excerpts from the book, discuss themes from the story, answer questions from the audience, and sign copies of the book.

A former newspaper reporter covering police activity and the court system, T. Jefferson Parker is now the author of 23 novels, including six New York Times bestsellers and three Edgar Award winners, as well as the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for mysteries.

Parker’s close-up experiences with law enforcement have provided him with an unmistakably accurate voice in crime writing; the New York Times describes Parker as “a powerhouse writer.” His novels explore lawlessness, life, and death in sunny Southern California, and his writing has been called “potent and irresistible” (Los Angeles Times), and “resonant, literate and powerful” (Kirkus).

T. Jefferson Parker is a Southern California-based author. According to his website, The Room of White Fire is the story of a young soldier who escapes from a mental institution and a private investigator carrying his own wounds who is hired to track the soldier down.  He faces a race against the clock to bring the soldier home, before he reveals a secret that could destroy him.

Copies of The Room of White Fire will be available for sale or for check-out at the event. For more information, please contact the Lemon Grove Library at (619) 463-9819. You may also view our events calendar online at www.sdcl.org.
