MUSEUM PRESENTES HIEROGLYPHS WORKSHOP—PLUS TRIP TO EGYPT

 

August 18, 2010 (El Cajon) -- Heritage of the Americas Museum on the campus of Cuyamaca College in El Cajon offers a special program including both a hieroglyphs workshop and an extended tour of Egypt.  Students will practice their new skills, reading the ancient writing that they find on museum artifacts--as well as in temples and tombs. Participants may attend the workshop or the tour, or both.

COLLEGE FOR KIDS AT HERITAGE OF THE AMERICAS MUSEUM

 

June 15, 2010 (Rancho San Diego ) - Every summer the Heritage of the Americas Museum has week-long classes for students going into fifth through ninth grade. All classes are taught by retired school teachers. The cost for each five-day class is only $50. ARTIFACTS ALIVE: MUSEUM SEEKS ARTISTS FOR NEW EVENT AT SPRING GARDEN FESTIVAL

 

April 14, 2010 (Rancho San Diego) – Heritage of the Americas Museum, in partnership with the Cuyamaca College Ornamental Horticulture Department and the Water Conservation Garden will host the Spring Garden Festival to be held on campus April 24. As part of the festival, the Museum will hold a special event entitled “Artifacts Alive”.
