February 12, 2023 (San Diego) -- Know a teen who loves science, learning new skills, and exploring the outdoors? You can invite them to participate in the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation's Eco Ambassadors program. The application deadline is February 28.

Students will learn from the Foundation’s education team and from subject matter experts about different aspects of Mission Trails, explore topics related to nature and conservation, and build community around environmental stewardship.

Twenty high school students will be selected for the Spring 2023 cohort, with sessions from April 2 through June 4. Two additional groups will participate this year with dates to be announced.

The Eco Ambassadors program is free and open to high school students in San Diego County. Applications are due on February 28 and accepted candidates will be notified on March 10. The program will primarily take place on Sunday afternoons from 1-4 p.m.

More information about the session schedule is available through the application link.

The Eco Ambassadors program is made possible through a grant from SDGE.
