TEEN RAPED IN ESCONDIDO

July 9, 2010 (Escondido) – Escondido Police seek the public’s help to find a man suspected of raping a 16-year-old girl. The suspect reportedly attacked the teen at gunpoint and raped her shortly before 8:30 this morning on the flood control bike path near North Beech Street and East Valley Parkway.

 

 

The victim told police she was walking eastbound  when the man approached her from behind, brandished a gun and forced her into the bushes, where he raped her. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

 

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s with a shaved head. He was wearing a black ski mask, dirty black T-shirt and blue pants. He was last seen fleeing westbound on the flood control bike path.
