December 14, 2010 (Pine Valley) – Two injured patients were transported by helicopter to a local hospital following a head-on, off-road collision on Bear Valley Truck Trail five miles south of I-8 in Pine Valley this evening.

“The incident is a great example of the multi-agency cooperation that occurs daily throughout San Diego County,” said Cal-Fire battalion chief Nick Schuler. A Cal-Fire engine company responded to the accident, along with two rescue units, a paramedic ambulance, and a Sheriff helicopter under the command of Cal-Fire Battalion Chief John Francois.
