TWO JUVENILES ARRESTED IN LA MESA ROBBERY

May 2, 2012 (La Mesa) – La Mesa Police Officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 4100 block of Lois Street in La Mesa on April 24 at approximately 7:12 p.m. The victim, 58, was walking north on Lois Street, near University, when she was approached by two black male juveniles.  One of them asked the victim for a dollar and they walked away when they were told she didn’t have one.  The victim continued walking and a few moments later felt a tug on her shoulder bag.  The victim struggled to retain her property but was overpowered and pulled to the ground.  Both suspects fled on foot with the victim’s property.

Several witnesses at the scene were able to direct the police to the last known location of the suspects.  During a search of the area, one of the juvenile suspects was located in the 7100 block of Waite Drive in La Mesa.  The second suspect was identified and located at his home in the 7000 block of Waite Drive.

The suspects, a 15 year old male from La Mesa and a 17 year old male from Lemon Grove were booked into Juvenile Hall.
