TWO SUSPECTS IN A LEMON GROVE BURGLARY ARE IN CUSTODY

May 23, 2012 (Lemon Grove) – San Diego Sheriff’s deputies from the Lemon Grove station responded to a residential burglary in progress at 1420 Bakersfield Street, Lemon Grove on May 18 at approximately 9:06 a.m.  after a neighbor reported an unknown male forcing open the front door of the residence.  The deputies saw two males exiting the residence in the backyard.

When the suspects were confronted by deputies they ran back into the residence.  After deputies surrounded the residence and made attempts to call them out one of the suspects exited the rear of the residence and was taken into custody.  Additional attempts to have the second suspect exit failed and the deputies entered the residence, found him hiding in the attic and took him into custody.

The two suspects have been identified as Roberto Castillo, 34 years old and Demetrius Kostos, 36 years old.  They were both booked into the Central Jail on residential burglary charges.
