The San Diego County Medical Examiner has identified two homicide victims killed in unincorporated El Cajon on April 27 and determined that gunshot wounds caused their deaths.
Jaden Davis, 20, and Seandell Jones, 29, both residents of San Diego, were shot during a house party at an AirBnB in the 800 block of Renfro Way.
Neither victim lived at the residence.
The San Diego Sheriff’s department responded shortly before 2 a.m. after receiving a radio call reporting 8 to 10 gunshots heard, along with yelling from the house party. A second caller also reported a shooting at the residence, says Lieutenant Joseph Jarjura.
Deputies arrived around 2 a.m. as numerous people were leaving the area on foot and in vehicles. Entering the residence, deputies were flagged down by a person stating someone was injured inside. Deputies found Davis suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. After deputies rendered aid, Davis was airlifted to Sharp Memorial hospitalfor treatment, but died at 4:02 a.m.
A search of the residence found the second victim, Seandell, also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was unresponsive and despite medical aid provided by deputies, was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:45 a.m.
The motive and circumstances of the shootings remains under investigation.
