2 pedestrians stabbings, robberies reported; one suspect had "SD" or "SU" tattoo on shaved head

June 13, 2010 (San Diego’s East County) – San Diego Police report several major crimes during the past 24 hours in neighborhoods east of I-15, including two violent assaults on pedestrians.

A man walking on Highland Avenue in the Talmadge area around midnight was approached by Hispanic men who stabbed him in the head and chest. He has been taken to the hospital but his injuries are not considered life threatening. 

 

On Marlborough Avenue in the Castle area, two African-American men in a white Chevy Silverado and several Hispanic men in a grey or silver car confronted two pedestrians at 11 p.m. The suspects got out of the vehicles and one pointed a silver revolver at the victims. The suspects robbed the victims of a gold necklace and pendant, then stabbed one victim in the torso. The suspect with the gun was an African-American man in his 20s with a shaved head and a tattoo of “SD” or “SU” on the back of his head. The suspect with the knife was a Hispanic man in his 20s with a shaved head, wearing a hoodie.
 

A strong-arm robbery occurred at South 45th Street and Logan Avenue in the Mountain View neighborhood at 6:05 p.m. The driver of a produce truck was beaten, kicked, and robbed by a Hispanic man in his mid-30s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds. He wore a black shirt and black pants. The suspect fled on food; the victim’s injuries are listed as minor, according to the SDPD watch commander.
