WALL THAT HEALS EXHIBIT COMING TO SAN DIEGO

April 25, 2015 (San Diego’s East County) –The Wall That Heals, a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C., is coming to San Diego April 25-30th, with connections planned in East County.

A mobile education center will be on display at the El Cajon Harley Davidson dealership, 621 El Cajon Blvd. on Thursday, April 23rd from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The Wall that Heals will be escorted on April 24th from the VFW Post in Lakeside to the USS Midway, where it will be set up by Marines from Miramar.

A Salute to Service Fair is planned April 24th at 9 a.m. to Sunday, April 26th at 5 p.m. at Tuna Harbor Park adjacent to the Midway with dozens of booths.

The Wall That Heals will be open to the public starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 25th with an opening ceremony at 11 a.m.   On Monday April 27th at 11 a.m., a reading of the names of San Diego County fallen heroes from Vietnam and since then will be read aloud. 

On Tuesday the 28th at 6:30 p.m., a paid reception, Night under the Stars and Stripes, will be held.

The Wall That Heals will close for public viewing on Thursday, April 30th at 5 p.m.
