WATER FOR CHILDREN HOSTS ECO FAIR & MUSIC FESTIVAL SEPT. 24

August 22, 2011 (San Diego) – Water for Children Africa, a nonprofit founded by El Cajon resident Vickie Butcher to bring safe clean water to rural villages in Africa, will host its annual Music Festival and Eco Fair on Saturday, September 24 from 9 a.m. to sunset at San Diego City College near Balboa Park.

An estimated 5,000 people are expected at the event, which features family activities and education on water issues including water management and preservation in America. Activites include an eco art show and youth eco art gallery, organic BBQ cookoff, hotdog eating contest, laser tag, gift bags, and entertainment by SONICBIDS with three lives stages, 20 national bands and a $1,000 first prize.

 

Water For Children Music Fest and Eco Fair welcomes speakers, volunteers, exhibitors of green products, services related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, green building, healthy living, job opportunities, green education/ transportation, and climate change.
