WOMAN, 67, STRUCK AND KILLED CROSSING ROAD IN SANTEE

October 27, 2016 (Santee) – A 67-year-old woman crossing the 10500 block of Mission Gorge Road this morning at 9:30 a.m. was struck by a Cadillac driven by an 82-year-old woman.  Santee Fire Department and Sheriff’s deputies responded.

Paramedics tried to save the victim and transported her to Sharp Memorial hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver was not injured.

According to the Sheriff’s office, the preliminary investigation does not indicate alcohol, drugs, or speed were a factor in this collision.
