April 3, 2011 (La Mesa) -- La Mesa Police responded to a 911 call at 8:01 this morning of a woman who had reportedly been sexually assaulted by numerous men inside a room at Motel 6, 7621 Alvarado Road, La Mesa. According to police, the victim was walking near El Cajon Blvd. and College Avenue when a group of about 10 men robbed her of her purse, then coerced her into their vehicle. They n drove the victim to the Motel 6, where multiplel men sexually assaulted her.
Police arrested four men, all black male adults from San Diego, at the motel. The investigation is ongoing to identify and arrest the remaining suspects who were able to flee the motel prior to police arriving. Names of those arrested are as follow:
Michael Mesfun, 19, Negussie Mesfun, 22, and Guled Mohamed, 21, were charged with kidnapping and sexual assault. A fourth suspect, Mumin AHmed, was charged with being intoxicated in public only. If you have any information on this case, please call the La Mesa Police Department at (619) 667-1400.
