SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE: DEADLINE JULY 23, 2010

 

July 1, 2010 (Rancho San Diego) – The Rancho San Diego-Jamul Chamber of Commerce is rolling out a leadership program designed to empower women to own, lead, and navigate business and community in the global economy.

The Women's Higher Education & Entrepreneurial Leadership (WHEEL) Program aims to benefit organizations and their employees through management and professional development, employee loyalty, lower employee turnover, and opportunities to promote organizations positively in the community.

Program Overview 2010-2011
 

Steering the course…The program kicks-off with a meet and greet, student orientation and celebration when participants will receive their registration bag with WHEEL Badge, Team Shirt, and program course material. ALL students must be present to participate, and be included in the group photo. Kick-off includes networking activities, meet & greet WHEEL core leaders, win door prizes, and entertainment.

September 10, 2010– Women’s Ownership Movement – Creating a woman led economy
October 1, 2010– Health, Self, Happiness, Healthy Life Day
November 5, 2010 – Organizational Leadership and Development
December 3, 2010– Education & Defining Career Paths
January 7-8, 2011– Retreat
February 4, 2011– Money & Wealth Management for Financial Stability
March 4, 2011– Entrepreneurship Day
April 1, 2011– Media, Advertising & Business Communication Day
May 6, 2011 – Power of Teams-Team Strategy Building
June 3, 2011– Women in Politics
July 8, 2011– Graduation– Team POWER Project Presentations
 

Cost of Program:  $475 Early Registration
($575 After July 6th 2010)
 

*All class times are 8 a.m.-4p.m., Retreat Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. & Saturday 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

JULY 23, 2010 SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE APPROACHING FAST

Opportunities for business owners, entrepreneurs, managers, and college students

Each year the RSDJ Chamber of Commerce sponsors two yearly business scholarships made available to small business owners, entrepreneurs, and employees, and a business career minded youth between the ages of 16-18. The scholarship focus is to promote business professional skills, personal development, and entrepreneurship through training & education, in culturally enhanced diverse business communities. Scholarships to attend the WHEEL program are awarded based on needs, and dedication to the program objectives. For more details, you may contact the chamber office.

Scholarship value is over $500 per scholarship.
