February 22, 2017 (Irvine, Calif.) - San Diego State was unable to recover from a five-run deficit after four innings as it dropped a 7-5 decision to UC Irvine Tuesday night at Anteater Ballpark. With the loss, the Aztecs evened their early season ledger at 2-2 while the Anteaters improved to 2-1.

February 21, 2017 (San Diego) - Since the rest of the Campbell/Cartier Classic last weekend was rained out, SDSU softball didn't returne to Aztec Softball Stadium until tonight when they hosted the Siena University Saints on Tuesday night.  Senior righty Erica Romero got the start for the Aztecs against Siena’s freshman righty Maddie McMahon.

February 21, 2017 (La Quinta, Calif.) - The San Diego State men’s golf team remains in a third-place tie after shooting a 5-over-par 289 on Tuesday during the second round of The Prestige at PGA West.  The Aztecs vaulted into the lead midway through the day, opening up a six-shot advantage at one point, before slipping back into the third position at 3-over 571, along with Iowa State.

The Aztecs (3-4) first downed the Highlanders (1-5), 3-0, before falling to No. 8/9 Washington, 6-5, later in the night.

February 15, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State will send four football players to the NFL Scouting Combine (National Invitational Camp) in Indianapolis from Feb. 28-March 6, the NFL announced today. Daniel Brunskill (Valley Center, Calif./Valley Center HS), Damontae Kazee (San Bernardino, Calif.), Donnel Pumphrey (Las Vegas) and Nico Siragusa (Chula Vista, Calif./Mater Dei Catholic HS) all will attend the camp, which will be scouted by top executives, coaching staffs, player personnel departments and medical personnel from all 32 NFL teams.

February 14, 2017 (San Diego) - After a win on Sunday at home against Nevada, Aztecs men's basketball heads out on the road tomorrow night to Logan, Utah to face Utah State.  Assistant coach Brian Dutcher and senior forward Matt Shrigley sat down with the media at today's press conference.

Joining them were the boys of summer:  baseball head coach Mark Martinez and senior starting pitcher Brett Seeburger.  This year's Aztecs feature four players from East County high schools--Hunter Stratton (junior catcher, Grossmont), Jordan Verdon (sophomore infielder, Granite Hills), Kenny LaPierre (another sophomore from Granite Hills and an Alpine native.  Right-handed pitcher) and Avery Tuck, a freshman outfielder from Steele Canyon.  The Aztecs open their season on Friday at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
