February 12, 2017 (La Jolla) - No. 17 San Diego State finished in seventh place at the 16-team UCSD Triton Invitational after splitting a pair of games on Sunday. The Aztecs fell in their morning game vs. T-No. 9 UC Santa Barbara, 9-6, before rebounding to defeat T-No. 9 UC San Diego, 5-4. The outcomes put SDSU’s record at 4-4 on the season.

February 12, 2017 (Los Angeles) - The San Diego State softball team scored the first 10 runs of the game and the final six in a 16-7 victory over Weber State in the final game of UCLA’s Stacy Winsberg Memorial Tournament Sunday in Los Angeles. The Aztecs (2-3), who came into Sunday with 28 hits through their first four games, had 20 today in the victory.

February 12, 2017 (San Diego) - For the second day in row, the San Diego State men’s tennis team had its fortunes hinge on the final singles match; however, the Aztecs suffered the opposite fate on Sunday, dropping a tough 4-3 decision to UC Davis in a non-conference dual at Aztec Tennis Center. With the setback, SDSU was unable to complete a weekend sweep, slipping to 3-4 overall, while the Aggies even their record at 3-3 on the season.

February 11, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State men’s tennis team won its second straight dual match Saturday with a dramatic 4-3 victory over UC Irvine at Aztec Tennis Center.  Senior Marko Goles-Babic (Zagreb, Croatia) provided the clinching point with a tough three-set victory at No. 2 singles to help SDSU even its record at 3-3 on the year, while the Anteaters slip to 1-4 overall with the loss.

February 10, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State split a pair of games on its opening day Friday at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (1-1) downed South Dakota, 7-1, in the opener before falling to No. 8/8 UCLA, 8-0, in six innings later in the day in games that were moved to San Diego because of inclement weather in the Los Angeles area.

February 10, 2017 (Spring Valley) - Though Monarchs boys basketball is sporting a poor 8-16 record on the season, they hold a 2-5 record in Grossmont League play.  Tonight, the boys from the Vista hosted the Sultans of Santana, who hold a much better record of 14-11 overall and 4-4 in league play in the Monarchs’ last regular season game at home.

February 6, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State lacrosse team picked up two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation awards on Monday as senior Kristen Hickey (Dedham, Mass.) was named Offensive Player of the Week, while freshman Taylor Sullivan (Annapolis, Md.) was selected Rookie of the Week. The two accolades were the first career weekly honors for the Aztec teammates.
