March 18, 2017 (San Diego/Irvine) - San Diego State track and field secured five individual event titles and tied the seventh-best mark in SDSU history with a win in the 4x100 relay on Saturday, competing at the Ross and Sharon Irwin Collegiate Invitational and the UC Irvine Spring Break Collegiate Classic.

March 18, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State dropped a 7-6 decision to Fresno State Saturday at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (16-11, 0-2 MW) and Bulldogs (19-9, 2-0 MW) combined for 29 hits in the game, which featured three lead changes.

March 18, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State looked to close out the weekend on a positive note Saturday, but visiting Arizona spoiled those plans with a 4-3 nail-biter over the Aztecs in a non-conference dual match on the final day of the San Diego Spring Break Tournament at Aztec Tennis Center.

March 17, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State was unable to overcome an early five-run deficit as it dropped a 5-3 decision to UNLV Friday evening at Tony Gwynn Stadium. With the loss, the Aztecs saw their record drop to 11-6 overall and 2-2 in the Mountain West.

March 17, 2017 (San Diego) -  San Diego State tried to right the ship in its second match of the San Diego Spring Break Tournament, but still encountered rough waters in a 4-1 defeat to Harvard in the consolation round Friday at Aztec Tennis Center. With the result, SDSU was unable to avoid its fourth loss in a row, falling to 5-9 on the year, while the Crimson improve to 9-7 overall.

March 16, 2017 (San Diego) - No. 12 San Diego State got a late defensive stop to put it in position to tie the game, but ultimately fell to fifth-ranked UC Irvine, 9-7, Thursday afternoon at Aztec Aquaplex. The loss snapped SDSU’s four-game winning streak and dropped it to 9-8 on the year.

March 15, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State rower Tara Montgomery has been named a 2017 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar team honoree, Diverse: Issues In Higher Education magazine announced. Montgomery was selected as one of the winners for the 37 sports included in this year’s special report and was chosen from over 1,200 nominated minority student-athletes across the nation.

March 14, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State took the lead on the first pitch of the game and never looked back as it defeated No. 25 University of San Diego, 10-1, Tuesday evening at Fowler Park.

With the win the Aztecs improved to 11-6 on the season while the Toreros saw the end of a four-game win streak with their record settling in at 10-4. USD came into the contest ranked No. 25 by D1Baseball.com and just outside the Collegiate Baseball top 25 (26th) this week.

March 14, 2017 (Chula Vista) - San Diego State men’s golfer Blake Abercrombie finished in a tie for second place on the individual leaderboard Tuesday after shooting a 2-under-par 70 during the final round of the 10th annual Lamkin San Diego Classic at San Diego Country Club. With his result, the Aztec junior logged his fourth career top-five placement and second of the year, completing the tournament at 6-under-par 210.

March 13, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State women’s tennis team faced Yale University today at the Aztec Tennis Center where they came up short against the Bulldogs, 4-3. The Aztecs grabbed the doubles point early on but could not keep their momentum throughout singles play.

March 12, 2017 (San Diego) - No. 17 San Diego State allowed the first goal of the game and then scored nine unanswered goals en route to a 10-4 victory over Bucknell, a team that was receiving votes in the latest CWPA Top-25 Poll. SDSU, which went 4-0 at the Aztec Invitational, saw its record move to 9-7 on the season.
