April 21, 2017 (Boise) - The San Diego State softball team had its season-long five-game winning streak snapped in a 6-4 loss Friday afternoon at Boise State. The Aztecs dropped to 23-15 overall and 7-6 in Mountain West play with the loss, while the Broncos improved to 25-15 and 7-9.

April 21, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State rowing team competed in its final dual of the season this morning, where the Aztecs finished ahead of UC San Diego, 13-0, to claim the Patty Wyatt Perpetual Trophy in its inaugural year. SDSU entered three eight boats and two four boats in the dual against the Tritons.

April 19, 2017 (Rancho Mirage, Calif.) - San Diego State’s Fernanda Escauriza (Asunción, Paraguay) captured the individual title at the 2017 Mountain West Championship on Wednesday after shooting a 2-under-par 70 during the final round at Mission Hills Country Club. With her total, the Aztec freshman completed the event with a 54-hole total of 6-under 210 to become the program’s first-ever medalist in a conference tournament.

April 18, 2017 (Riverside) - San Diego State scored six times over the first three innings and seven Aztec pitchers limited UC Riverside to a run on five hits in a 10-1 victory over the Highlanders Tuesday night at the Riverside Sports Complex. With the win, SDSU improved to 27-11 as it won for the 11th time in its last 13 contests.

This is the fifth time SDSU and Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl have been picked to serve as a host for the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

With the victory, the Aztecs raise their record to 7-14 on the season and 3-3 in conference play, while the Lobos slip to 10-12 overall and 3-3 in the Mountain West.

The win was the 10th in the last 12 games for the Aztecs, who improved to 25-11 overall and 13-5 in the Mountain West.

If was the fifth consecutive victory for the Aztecs (23-14, 7-5 MW), who swept the series with the Lobos (19-18, 5-7 MW) by a combined score of 22-3.

April 15, 2017 (Las Vegas) - San Diego State exploded for season highs in runs and hits as it defeated UNLV, 20-6, Friday night at Earl E. Wilson Stadium in Las Vegas. The Aztecs were in control from start to finish, scoring in each of the first five innings as they improved to 25-11 overall and 12-5 in the Mountain West. Their run total along with their 24 hits in the game were the most they have recorded in any contest this season

The Aztecs (22-14), who came into the weekend in a tie for seventh place, are now in a tie for second in the Mountain West standings at 6-5 after clinching the series over the Lobos (19-17, 5-6 MW).

April 13, 2017 (Azusa, Calif.) - San Diego State track & field continued its busy week in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, concluding competition at the Mt. SAC Relays while kicking off competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational, both hosted by Azusa Pacific University.
