March 7, 2021 (San Diego) - The top two women’s soccer teams in the Mountain West, according to the league’s head coaches, met on the Sports Deck on Sunday afternoon with the San Diego State Aztecs outshooting Boise State 17-to-12 and outscoring them 3-1 to move to 2-0 after the opening weekend of play.

March 6, 2021 (Seattle) - The Aztec men’s soccer team (0-2-1) lost a heartbreaker 3-2 in extra time at No. 8 Washington (4-1-0, 2-1-0) on a cold and windy Saturday afternoon. SDSU was 59 seconds away from leaving Seattle with three points against a top-ten team, but saw the Huskies tie it up in the 90th minute and then win on a penalty kick 100 seconds into extra time.

March 5, 2021 (San Diego) - The San Diego State lacrosse team fell to the UC Davis Aggies 18-7 Friday, March 5 at Aztec Lacrosse Field.

Lexi Tan led the Aztecs on the offensive side of the ball. Tan's stat line included three goals on five shots, 2-2 on free-position shot attempts, a ground ball, and a caused turnover. Other SDSU scores came from senior Emily Resnick (2), senior Bailey Brown (1), and junior Cailin Young (1). The Aggies’ scoring leader was Maddie Myers and Sorana Larson, each finding the net five times throughout the game.

March 3, 2021 (Peoria, Ariz.) - The smell of freshly cut grass.  The sound of bats hitting balls.  Spring training is in the air and the Padres have kicked it off in Peoria, Arizona, hoping for a better result than last season when they were eliminated in the NLDS by the Dodgers.  Today they played a game against the Brewers.  Drew Rasmussen started for the Brewers against new Padre Blake Snell.

It was the highest-ranked opponent the Aztecs (6-2) have beaten since a 3-0 victory over No. 3/3 Texas A&M on March 15, 2008.
