March 6, 2020 (Long Beach) - Alexa Schultz singled home Summer Hargett in the bottom of the 11th inning to give San Diego State a 6-5 win over Cal State Fullerton at the Louisville Slugger Classic Friday afternoon at LBSU Softball Complex. It is the second time this season that the Aztecs (15-9) have defeated the Titans (13-9) in extra innings.

March 5, 2020 (Las Vegas) - Jordan Schakel's teammates kept telling him to shoot. San Diego State needed every basket to avoid a major upset.

Schakel scored 14 of his 17 points in the second half as the fifth-ranked Aztecs rallied for a 73-60 win over Air Force in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Conference tournament on Thursday.

March 4, 2020 (San Diego) - San Diego State allowed six runs in the top of the sixth inning of a one-run game in a 11-4 loss to Villanova Wednesday night at SDSU Softball Stadium.

The Wildcats (12-9), who are receiving votes in both the USA Today/NFCA and ESPN.com/USA Softball polls, were up, 4-3, after five innings before scoring six times off the Aztecs (14-9) on just three hits, but four walks and a crucial error.

March 4, 2020 (San Diego) - San Diego State won its third straight with a 7-2 triumph over No. 17/17 Long Beach State in a non-conference game Tuesday at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

Mike Jarvis (two RBI), Casey Schmitt (two runs), Anthony Walters and Brian Leonhardt finished with two hits apiece for the Aztecs, who also utilized four pitchers on the night, giving up just two unearned runs to raise their record to 9-4 overall.

March 1, 2020 (Las Vegas) - With the score tied at 79 in overtime, a jumper from Utah State’s Hailey Basset with three seconds left in extra play would decide the fate of San Diego State women’s basketball’s 2019-20 season as the sixth-seeded Aztecs fell to the 11-seed Aggies 81-79 in the first round of the Mountain West Championships inside the Thomas and Mack Center Sunday evening.

March 1, 2020 (San Diego) - San Diego State used a four-run sixth inning to rally past CSUN, 7-4, in the San Diego Classic finale Sunday afternoon at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (14-8) finished the tournament with a 3-1 record, only falling to defending national champion and No. 1/1 UCLA, 5-0, when the Bruins scored all five of their runs with two outs in the top of the seventh inning.

February 29, 2020 (San Diego) - Three San Diego State pitchers combined for 14 strikeouts against Oregon State on Saturday, as the Aztecs rolled to a 6-0 victory at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

After the Aztec staff was victimized by a combined 17 runs and 25 hits in the first two games of the series, the trio of starter Troy Melton and relievers Christian Winston and Avery Jones came up huge, limiting the Beavers to just four hits to help the Scarlet and Black complete its first shutout of the 2020 campaign.

February 27, 2020 (San Diego) - The Aztec women’s basketball team (14-16, 9-9) closed out the regular season with a dominating 81-68 win over Nevada (14-15, 7-11) on senior night Thursday evening. SDSU shot 49 percent from the field and scored a season-high 81 points while holding the Wolf Pack to 35 percent shooting and outrebounded them 43-32.

February 24, 2020 (Fort Collins, Colo.) - The Aztec women’s basketball team (13-16, 8-9) outlasted Colorado State (12-16, 6-11) 64-61 in overtime inside Moby Arena Monday evening.

The Aztecs, who trailed the majority of the game, were whistled for a foul at the buzzer at the end of regulation when the game was tied, but after a review the officials ruled that the foul occurred after the buzzer and the game went to overtime. In the extra period the Aztecs held the Rams to 1-for-8 shooting and got a stop in the final seconds to hold on for the win.

February 23, 2020 (Los Angeles) - San Diego State women's lacrosse suffered a 14-6 defeat at the hands of No. 13 USC at Soni McAlister Field in Los Angeles, Calif. Sunday.

The Aztecs' (1-2) scoring was led by sophomore Cailin Young who scored two goals while adding a draw control and a ground ball. SDSU also saw offensive production from seniors Emily Resnick and Taylor Sullivan, redshirt junior Lexi Tan, and junior Bailey Brown. Sharretts shined once again in the goal, racking up a season-best tying 13 saves and a .481 save percentage.
