February 27, 2020 (Albuquerque) - he Aztec track and field team had a successful first day at the Mountain West Indoor Championships Thursday at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The day was highlighted by Asia Smith winning the pentathlon and the Aztecs shattering their school record in the distance medley relay.

February 26, 2020 (Riverside) -  In a pitchers’ duel, the San Diego State softball team was edged by California Baptist, 1-0, in eight innings Wednesday night at John C. Funk Stadium. The Aztecs fell to 11-7 with the loss.

February 25, 2020 (Irvine) - San Diego State received a strong collective pitching performance on Tuesday, as the Aztecs held on to defeat UC Irvine 2-1 in a non-conference road game at Anteater Ballpark.

February 24, 2020 (Fort Collins, Colo.) - The Aztec women’s basketball team (13-16, 8-9) outlasted Colorado State (12-16, 6-11) 64-61 in overtime inside Moby Arena Monday evening.

The Aztecs, who trailed the majority of the game, were whistled for a foul at the buzzer at the end of regulation when the game was tied, but after a review the officials ruled that the foul occurred after the buzzer and the game went to overtime. In the extra period the Aztecs held the Rams to 1-for-8 shooting and got a stop in the final seconds to hold on for the win.

February 23, 2020 (Los Angeles) - San Diego State women's lacrosse suffered a 14-6 defeat at the hands of No. 13 USC at Soni McAlister Field in Los Angeles, Calif. Sunday.

The Aztecs' (1-2) scoring was led by sophomore Cailin Young who scored two goals while adding a draw control and a ground ball. SDSU also saw offensive production from seniors Emily Resnick and Taylor Sullivan, redshirt junior Lexi Tan, and junior Bailey Brown. Sharretts shined once again in the goal, racking up a season-best tying 13 saves and a .481 save percentage.

February 22, 2020 (San Diego) - San Diego State erupted for four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning Saturday to defeat visiting Nebraska by a 4-2 count in the Tony Gwynn Legacy tournament.

With two outs in their half of the frame, Wyatt Hendrie delivered a key two-run single to help lift the Aztecs to their third straight victory.

February 22, 2020 (Minneapolis) - For the second consecutive year, the San Diego State swimming and diving team brought the Mountain West Swimming and Diving Championship back to The Mesa. The Aztecs collected 1463.50 points, the most in conference championship history, to successfully defend their conference crown.

February 22, 2020 (Las Vegas) - The Aztec women’s basketball team (12-16, 7-9) fell at UNLV (13-14, 9-7) 72-67 Saturday afternoon. SDSU trailed the entire second half but pulled within one with 39 seconds left. After a pair of UNLV free throws, the Aztecs had a chance to tie but failed to get a good look.

February 21, 2020 (Cathedral City, Calif.) - The San Diego State softball team lost its Friday opener to No. 5/5 Arizona, 10-0, in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic at Big League Dreams Complex. 

SDSU was held to just one hit - a Sara Lillie single in the bottom of the second inning - and allowed three home runs to the Wildcats (11-2), which accounted for eight of the 10 runs in the game.

Thursday saw the Aztecs earn top finishes in four of the day's five events.

February 19, 2020 (Minneapolis) - San Diego State swimmers junior Elli Ferrin, senior Alma Thormalm, senior Courtney Vincent and junior Klara Thormalm opened the 2020 Mountain West Championships with a record-setting 200 Medley Relay swim on Wednesday inside the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.

February 19, 2020 (San Diego) - San Diego State women’s tennis fell just short of a victory on Wednesday, dropping its dual against the University of Hawai’i 4-3 at Aztec Tennis Center.

The ‘Bows captured the doubles point after defeating the Aztecs’ second and third-seeded pairs. UH’s Markovic and Takamura handed freshman Julia Jordan and junior Tamara Arnold a 6-3 decision on court two, while juniors Nnena Nadozie and Abbie Mulbarger were unable to overcome the Rainbow Wahine’s Ehn and Pits, falling 6-4.

February 18, 2020 (San Diego) -  San Diego State downed Loyola Marymount, 8-1, for its fifth consecutive victory Tuesday night at SDSU Softball Stadium.

The Aztecs (9-3) spotted the Lions (5-6) a run in the top of the second inning on a two-out single, then scored the final eight runs of the game.
