March 24, 2012 (El Cajon) – The Lakeside/El Cajon Sheriff’s station will be holding coffee and conversation with the community in multiple locations.  The event will be attended by Lt. Robbins, Lt. Walker, COPPS Deputies, Crime Prevention Specialists and representatives from other agencies in partnership with the Sheriff’s Department.

October 8, 2011 (SAn Diego) -- Would San Diego residents survive a major earthquake? They would greatly improve their chances of escaping serious injury or death by taking the safest action: Drop, Cover and Hold On. San Diego County residents have three more weeks to join the nearly eight million Californians, including more than 646,000 people in San Diego County, who have already signed up for the Great California ShakeOut earthquake drill, which will take place at 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20 or 10:20 on 10/20.

One Day, One Night, One Fight for our Community

June 7, 2011 (Lakeside) -- The second annual Lakeside Relay for Life will be held on Saturday June 11, 2011 to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society. Teams of people camp out and take turns running or walking around the track during this 24-hour free event.

May 17, 2011 (San Diego) -- La Maestra Community Health Centers celebrated 21 years of providing quality, culturally and linguistically appropriate health, and well-being services through its Circle of Care.

To begin the 22nd year a generous donation from Kaiser Permanente will help provide more of the sonographic imaging services that have been helping those in need.
