April 17, 2017 (El Cajon) -- The City of El Cajon Recreation Department will be hosting an afternoon of pool safety and fun - called “April Pools Day” on Friday, April 28 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event features a free lifejacket give-away, sun safety information, CPR mini lessons, crafts, water safety tips, and FREE open swim.
The location is Fletcher Hills Pool, 2345 Center Place, El Cajon.
Drowning is the number one cause of death among young children countywide, so learning water safety is important for kids of all ages in our region where children are likely to be around swimming pools or visit the beach with friends and family.
April Pools Day is a free event open to all ages, however ages 7 and under must come with an adult within arm’s reach while on the pool deck or in the water.
No registration is required. For more information, please contact Heather Carter at (619) 441-1672.
