October 9, 2013 (San Diego’s East County ) – Once again, East County Magazine writers and photographers are well represented among the winners listed in the 2013 San Diego Press Club Excellence in Journalism Awards.
Our winning team members this year include (in alphabetical order) reporter Nadin Abbott, photographer Parke Ewing, multimedia journalist Paul Kruze, movie reviewer Brian Lafferty, reporter Ron Logan, Sounds of History radio host Helen Ofield, photographer Jim Pelley, editor Miriam Raftery, columnist Jamie Reno, intern Sierra Robinson, and photographer Darin Sefcik.
The preview list includes only names of winners—not which works won or names of publications. That said, nearly all of our winners entered works only from ECM, so it’s a safe bet that we’ll be bringing home plenty of awards to add to the 45 we’ve already received in previous years. Congratulations, team!
Awards will be presented on October 29 at the 40th annual Excllence in Journalism Awards dinner at Jacob Center.
