Nothing but the truth!

Ju

ly 17, 2011 (San Diego)--The Republican right wing, sitting on record profits from dividends, bonuses, and tax cuts for the rich, are screaming Obama has not provided any new jobsYet not a single Congressional bill has addresses jobs, hiring, retention, or outsourcing of jobs.  The rich "job providers", sitting on piles of cash, are not interested in sharing their new-found profits with the working poor. Why would they?

It's Congress, not the President, that must address joblessness.

The funds for repairing infrastructure like US bridges, roads, and flood control dikes sit idle, waiting for the next Katrina.  The biggest job provider of all, and the only solution for the US energy crisis, a Solar Roof program, is dead in the
water.  Solar roofs would provide millions of jobs of a "shovel-ready" variety that could take unskilled workers and put them to work for years setting up an independent solar-electrical grid safe from natural disaster or terrorist attaacks.

Big Oil and Big Energy do not want the competition. The idea that homeowners and unskilled workers could tack together a competitive electrical grid gives Big Energy heart palpitations.   Then comes the idea you could plug your electric car into your roof. Lordy, Lordy, it's the Big One!

So before you blame Obama for not providing jobs, look at The House of Representatives and their army of lobbyists who want to see the status quo go on forever, with record profits for Big Oil and Big Energy, and all innovation strangled in the crib.

Perhaps when Saint Louis or Chicago is underwater we will decide we should have done something.

No surprise

A retired teacher in a rant on rich republicans. What a surprise. Thanks to rich big business I get dividends every month from my stock in their companies so I do not have to go on welfare and increase the current 17 Trillion, socialist, national debit.
