Update September 10: Boil water orders will remain in effect until Sunday, health officials report. The order applies to all water consumed including water for brushing teeth, ice cubes or cleaning vegetables. Adults may shower, but infants or toddlers should be sponge-bathed with clean water. You do not need to boil water used for washing clothes in a washing machine. September 9, 2011 (San Diego's East County)--The County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health (DEH) has issued Boil Water Orders effective immediately for the following areas: Affected communities include portions of Descanso, Alpine, Julian, Boulevard, Lakeside, Campo, and Pauma Valley.

El Monte County Park located at 15805 El Monte Road, Lakeside, CA 92040
H & J Water Company located at 4835 Belvedere Drive, Julian, CA 92036
Louis Stelzer County Park located at 11470 Wildcat Canyon Road, Lakeside, CA 92040
Mt. Empire RV Park located at 29149 Hwy 94, Campo, CA 91906
Oak Knoll Village located at 31718 South Grade Road, Pauma Valley, CA 92061
Note: The Lakeside Water District is not affected, only those locations noted above.
Due to the recent power outage, these public water systems lost pressure in the water distribution system. As a precaution, Boil Water Orders are being issued until laboratory results show the water is free from bacterial contamination. The Boil Water Orders will remain in effect until the distribution systems have been disinfected and samples confirm the absence of bacteria in the water supply.

Send your Utility bills, propane, electric, gas, etc to SDG&E!!
If you are forced to boil because of SDG&E, which cause the muncipality water problems, then you need to make sure they pay for the energy used to "boil" the water. It was not your fault and they should not get off the hook. They've already gotten off the hook for way too many burn-out, black/brown outs, delays, etc. Someone needs to be made accountable!
And be thankful if you live outside of San Diego proper and can run off your own generation, most people in town with generation were also blacked out too!! Big system mess and game for self generators, neighborhoods, and communities!
