MOTORIST INJURED IN LAKESIDE CRASH DIES IN HOSPITAL

November 19, 2011 (Lakeside) -- Esaw O'Guin, Jr., 27, has died of injuries sustained in a crash that occurred November 17 on southbound Highway 67 near Slaughterhouse Canyon Road in Lakeside. O'Guin, who was wearing a seatbelt, was driving a Toyota Camry when for unknown reasons, he crossed the center line and collided with another vehicle.

O'Guin, a Pacific Islander, was taken by air ambulance to a hospital, where his death was pronounced a short time later.

"He was a wonderful human being and will be greatly missed in San Diego and here his hometown of Kihei,Maui," O'Guin's mother stated. "My son also leaves his 12 year old son behind. His son was his pride and joy in life. Also the reason why he changed his life."

Who are we to judge

Just for one moment put yourself into the shoes of his mom, dad, sis, and son! My prayers are with you guys forever.. Growing up in Hawaii, Maui Esaw was a brother to me and was very close with my brother.. R.I.P Esaw O'guin you will always be in my heart.

I remember him as the funny, friendly kid I spent my growing years with in Kihei, Maui. I can picture him being silly in Mrs. Ho’s 3rd grade class always laughing and making those around him laugh. He was a joy to be around and after all these years somebody I will always remember with fond memories.

Esaw will always be remembered by those who KNEW him in a kind light. He had a smile that could light up any room. He made people laugh and was the center of attention. While in San Diego he enjoyed life and kept a positive attitude.He was excited about life and doing things right. Esaw you will always be missed and I am thankful i was lucky enough to have been your friend.
