VIP guest Art Madrid,

VIP guest Art Madrid, eh?

(Are there any politicians ECM wouldn't invite as a matter of principle?)

We extend invitations to our elected officials at all levels

to provide our readers with the opportunity to meet their public officials. We've invited officials from all parties and had a wide variety of officials who've attended through the years. It's up to voters, not news media, to determine who they wish to elect or reelect.

We were pleased to have La Mesa's Mayor attend our gathering in the community in the city's centennial year. We were equally pleased to have Congresswoman Susan Davis, Councilman Gary Kendrick from El Cajon, and local planning officials attend this year's event.
