Parades

I have fond memories of parades around the area. My brother Pete played clarinet, bassoon, tuba, and sousaphone. He was in the Helix High Marching Band and my parents took me to all and any band events. The band director at Lemon Grove Junior High thought that I would be a music prodigy and he needed a french horn player so Harry had me take lessons. The horn was difficult to play and I had to place my hand in the horn to mute or control the sound.
