Our "rights," indeed. Or even

Our "rights," indeed. Or even a shred of respect for the environment to which they pay so much lip-service. Where is it? Buried deep beneath the manic, ideological, and conscienceless drive to erect monuments of (utterly ineffectual) good intent toward the environment. Industrializing nature to save,...nature--though it will do nothing of the sort. How's that for irony?

I Agree! Where are OUR rights?

Why do they have the right to spoil our views? When camping and hiking in McCain Valley RECREATION Area this past weekend, wind turbines spoiled the views to the east, south, and west. We are spending lots of time hiking there before they ruin the valley itself with wind turbines and more power lines. Can't imagine camping out there surrounded with red blinking lights all around all night long like in Ocotillo. We saw three red-tailed hawks. What will happen to those when they put in the wind turbines? Will we be out for a hike when a wind turbine unexpectedly catches the highly-flammable brush on fire? We finished our trip by eating lunch in Jacumba Hot Springs at the lake. The view of the mountains to the east was spoiled with those same wind turbines Wayne saw from I-8 and a large crane erecting more. I thought part of going out to the country was to get away from all that. That's why the residents chose to live there. Where are OUR rights?
