February 9, 2015 (San Diego's East County) - Author KB Schaller (Cherokee/Seminole heritage) was recently notified by Florida Authors and Publishers Association (FAPA), Inc., that her title, 100+ Native American Women Who Changed the World, would be included in the organization's display at Book Expo America (BEA)!

As announced during the FAPA Annual Awards Banquet, all 2014 Gold and Silver medalists will have their works displayed FREE of charge at Book Expo America!, which is the #1 book and author event in the USA.

Schaller's title won Gold in the biography category. It is also winner of an International Book Award, women's Issues category. Click here.

BEA offers the book industry access to new titles, authors, and education about the publishing industry. BEA is also a dynamic environment for networking, sourcing, and relationship building in the publishing industry in North America, and is the best place to discover new titles and meet face-to-face with favorite and up-and-coming authors.

"I am honored to have been extended this opportunity--along with other FAPA medalists--for national exposure of my title, 100+ Native American Women Who Changed the World", Schaller states.

The stellar collection of historical and contemporary Indigenous heritage women has been called "long overdue" by one reviewer.

KB Schaller contributes to East County Magazine, is author of Gray Rainbow Journey, winner of a National Best Books Award, Multicultural Fiction, its sequel, Journey by the Sackcloth Moon, and is currently working on Journey Through the Night's Door, third in the series.

Re: All Your Kind Comments

MJ and Linda: Thank you so much, my sisters, for your kind and supportive comments. I deeply appreciate them. Knowing that I have the support of strong and talented women such as each of you makes me feel part of a very special sisterhood. I am doubly blessed that you are all authors as well. As such, you are well-aware of how crucial it is to know that your work--in which you have invested your hearts, souls, talents and skills--is appreciated. You have done much to expose the darkness in the world, but also the triumphs through faith and tenacity of will. I wish you the very best with your present works, and all that will follow. Again, thanks so much! KB Schaller, Author http://KBSchaller.com/

Celebrate!

It is remarkable what one voice can do for others such as your voice has done for me and others KB, you honor women and see the strength they portray in difficult situations. I keep your words close to me when needed. Congrats and warm regards Your friend and fellow author, Linda Lee King Sticks and Stones and Broken Bones What A Charmed Life I Lead www.lindaleeking.com

Thanks Dennis and KB for comments

Thank you for your comments and answers Dennis and KB. It is a time of celebration when the Native American community and a talented and hard working woman writer are recognized and awarded. Here is to many more awards and more knowledge about Native American history for all Americans to be able to appreciate the strength and integrity of the Native American population and its historical roots. Thank you, Dennis

I would also like to take this opportunity to express my sincere "Thanks" to Dennis Moore for his continuing support of authors through his detailed book reviews and posting of our accomplishments to share with others. No writer ever had a more supportive friend or mentor. We deeply appreciate you, Dennis. KB Schaller, Author http://KBSchaller.com/

Thank you, MJ Payne

Thank you, MJ Payne! How beautifully stated. I am deeply honored by your kind words that edify our gender and also seek to heal the breach between men and women. I strongly believe in the saying that a candle does not diminish its own flames when it lights another. There is nothing more fulfilling than to honor those who have achieved, especially under daunting circumstances. It was my primary purpose for shining the spotlight on women of indigenous heritage--a group long-rendered "invisible"--for their contributions to their homes, communities, the United States of America, and the world. Best wishes for continuing success with your compelling book, The Remembered Self. It brought to light and stimulated discussion on a subject once only whispered about and kept out of the public eye. KB Schaller awards

It is indeed a wonderful thing to see a woman writer of any heritage to receive awards. I congratulate KB Schaller for her enormous efforts in regard to the American Native Indian community and her heritage. I am ecstatic beyond belief that a woman can be and is awarded such a well deserved position. I encourage all to read and buy her other works and reward women for their hard earned efforts to become part of the professional community in all its forms. Ladies and gentlemen, give your wives and loved ones encouragement that they may become successful at the things they love and in the end you will be rewarded for your gentlemanly behavior that i believe all men really want to include in the world. This is a very special woman and i say again that women provide a viewpoint and so many other qualities such as nurturance and a loving heart that we are part of the soul of humanity. Let us in. Let us show our love and our ability. We will make you proud. Bless KB Schaller and buy her books. I have and I am glad to possess a part of history and eternity. So beautifully put MJ!

I could not have said it better, and you are so right MJ, we should support and encourage our women and the greater reward will be all of humanity.
