On some the video comes out sideways. So test yours first, folks.
You can change whether the video is landscape or not, Miriam.
No matter if you have iPhone or Android. If you hold the phone up, it'll be vertical. If you hold the phone sideways, your phone will detect it and switch the video to horizontal. Also on Youtube, there's a full screen option.

Then why have I had several readers send me sideways videos
That they couldn't figure out how to turn rightside up? I couldn't turn them either.
Also I used to have an Android cell phone with that same problem. Some of the older ones don't automatically switch the format, but it's good to know that apparently newer ones are getting better from this standpoint.
