June 6, 2018 (Campo) – Cal Fire reports a fire called the #RecycleFire has burned 150 acres in Campo, prompting evacuation warnings for residents on North Campo Truck Trail.  The blaze is 0% contained.

The fire has caused closure of La Posta Road at State Route 94. The fire was reported at 10:24 a.m. in the 31000 block of highway 94.

Mark Siegmund, who sent the photos here, told ECM in an e-mail, "Today, I was back-country, and noticed a huge plume of smoke in the distance, and, immediately called 911, and was glad to hear there were fire engines being dispatched immediately. I drove in the direction of the plume. and found myself on the dirt road used by the responding fire engines and other mobile equipment. There were 2 water dropping helicopters, refilling at a nearby pond. They attacked the fire, hard and fast, and I left the scene as the dark smoke turned to while, which meant the water drops, and fire engines, fire tankers, were winning...or so I thought, however, later in the afternoon I learned it was continuing to grow in size to 200+ acres :-.) I salute all the Responders."

We have the right to inform

You Seem really angry about something? https://www.facebook.com/bfpartyline/ If that was what you had a problem with? The reports from Public Citizens on this site are most times before the emergency services even know about. The Members of the site were stuck in fires that took lives and are dedicated in reporting Facts for the communities they live in as best they can. We use to to live in open government communications? a homeowner could rely on those communications to protect themselves. We Don't all watch CH (X) At noon for updates when our lives are endanger. The Fire and Police have gone to levels of protecting communications as they did not want the public listening to them taking coffee breaks. My Self and Others on that Site are Licensed Ham Radio operators. So if you're upset with the site that offers open communications for public safety without your current encrypted system of communication for our safety then explain what the fire department is hiding? We Don't live in New York here! We live in an area of Fire and need all the info we can get. Not News at 9 reports when the fire kills the power...Thanks... Open Up Heart Land radio to the public again! Stop the silly encryption paid for by public Taxes. We should have the right to hear! Peace (It's a Democratic View BTW)
