March 30, 2018 (Santee) – The Sheriff’s department is warning the public about a man who tried to lure a 9-year-old girl into his silver convertible vehicle on Thursday at 8 p.m.  The girl was riding her bicycle in the 8000 block of Poplin drive in Santee when the man asked if she wanted a ride to a “game,” says Sgt. Kamon Harris.

The girl became frightened and rode back to her home.  The suspect is described as white, 60-70 years old, with white hair. He wore a red hat and chrome sunglasses. The silver convertible had a black top and may be a Honda.  It had a handicapped license plate that included the number 7.

TV NEWSCAST UPDATE:

The vehicle as seen on video, is a CHEVROLET CORVETTE. All other basic information remains the same at this time.

Girl did the right thing!

I hope this predator is caught and put in jail. I suspect he's done similar acts before, maybe even worse.
