Meanwhile in Washington, Rep. Susan Davis of San Diego said in a statement: “Despite the Attorney General’s spin job, the report is a far cry from what he described. It is a call for Congress to take a closer look, which should start with Special Counsel Mueller’s testimony before Congress. No one should think this closes the discussion.”
Just before 3 p.m., Davis’ Republican colleague, Duncan Hunter, made his own statement via a Facebook video.
Taped in Yuma, Arizona, Rep. Hunter of East County began by saying 330 “illegal aliens” had crossed in the previous 24 hours and would be released within 72 hours.
Then he said: “The Mueller report came out today. Who cares? There is no collusion. We know that. We also know that’s fake news. This is real news. This is a real crisis. America is being overrun, and it needs to stop.”
