August 7, 2019, 2019 (Alpine) – Congressional candidate Ammar Campa-Najjar will be at a Town Hall Meet and Greet open to the public at the Alpine Community Center on August 18th from 1 to 4 p.m. Food and beverages will be served. The event is hosted by Alpine resident Anne Craig-Tillmond.

Campa-Najjar is facing off in the November, 2020 elections against incumbent Congressman Duncan D. Hunter, Jr. and/or other primary challengers.

The Town Hall format offers an opportunity for constituents to ask questions about issues that matter most to them.

Campa-Najjar was born in East County, the son of a working classmother who raised him with help from family and neighbors.

From his first job as a church janitor to serving in the White House where he advocated for small businesses and fought for American workers, he says he's devoted his life to service.

"Being your Congressman isn’t about my personal politics, it’s about your personal health, safety, and economic dignity”, states Campa-Najjar, “While career politicians put their own interest ahead of ours and use special interest contributions and tax dollars to finance lavish lifestyles, I’ll never forget where I come from. I’ll fight for real ethics and campaign finance reform and I won’t take a dime of corporate PAC money.”   Campa-Najjar vows to be beholden only to constituents in the 50th Congressional District.

Rep. Hunter has taken hefty corporate donations and has been indicted on 60 counts of bank fraud & campaign finance violations for allegedly spending over $260,000 of campaign donations on personal use. His wife has pleaded guilty and is working with the prosecution in this case. His trial is set to start September 19th, 2019.

Huh? The last paragraph is the RSVP contact info and

the paragraph above is a simple statement of the facts about Hunter's indictment on alleged crimes and when his trial begins.  Readers obviously may want to know if  the incumbent in a race is going on trial for crimes.

ok, 2ND TO LAST!

Correction and thank you - 2nd to last, not last.
