By Miriam RafteryJune 28, 2019 (Campo) – A two-vehicle collision at State Route 94 and Sheridan Road has left one person dead and three injured. The survivors were flown by air ambulance to a local hospital, Cal Fire San Diego posted on Twitter.
The California Highway Patrol website indicates a dog was also reported injured.

I drive Highway 94
The road was designed and built when car speeds were much slower than today's vehicles. Any car today can go 100 mph, motorcycles can go almost 200 mph.
