January 31, 2020 (Borrego Springs)  -- State Senator Brian W. Jones invites you to attend a Borrego Springs Town Hall on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the County Library, 2580 Country Club Rd., Borrego Springs.

A nonprofit expo will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a town hall from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Share your views, ask questions on issues important to you, and learn about great work being done by nonprofits in the community.

If you need help resolving an issue with a state agency, district staff will be on hand to help at the event that is free and open to the public.

to visit a distant part of east San Diego County. Do your citizenship thing, then enjoy looking at the 130 metal sculptures that dot the landscape. They are are beautiful pieces of art that are spread around the landscape. Time then to chow down at Los Jilbertos Mexican restaurant on the main street, just west of Christmas Circle. (Juan Bautista de Anza was there on Christmas 1775.) The huevos rancheros at Jilbertos are tasty and will fill you up for checking out the Visitors Center at Anza Borrego State Park (parking charge) and then your return trip, perhaps after more sightseeing or even an overnight in town.
