Kamala and the border
She was not in charge of all border issues. Biden asked her specifically to work on immigration problems from three countries, enabling people there to appy for asylum from their home countries. Illegal immigration from those three countries dropped sharply.
It is fair to ask how she would handle the broader border and immigration issues, but she has not headed up all of it as VP.
