August 10, 2024 (Chicago) -- It's official, the Chair of the 2024 Democratic National Convention, Minyon Moore, announced on X(Twitter) that she was a part of a historic moment. U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz are now certified as democratic nominees, overseen by Moore.
The last time that Chicago was host to the Democratic National Convention, I was actually hosting a monthly business workshop on the Westside of Chicago, in conjunction with my being Specification Engineer for the City of Chicago Department of Aviation at O'Hare International Airport, assisting women and other minorities in getting certified as MBE/WBE participants on City of Chicago and other governmental contracts. The mayor of Chicago at the time, Richard Daley, had his surrogates attend my standing room only workshop in hopes of benefiting from the contracts generated through the Democratic National Convention, which will hold true for 2024. This is an exciting time for the City of Chicago, and all of America, as they have the opportunity to elect the first woman as President of the United States.
As co-author of subject book, Minyon Moore, should be doubly proud of her achievement as Chairperson of the Democratic National Convention, as well as actually being from Chicago.

Liz Chaney endorses Kamala Harris for President!
I actually saw this coming, former Senator Liz Chaney just endorsed Kamala Harris over Donald Trump!
Go Dennis!!!
Joe Biden said put a prosecutor in the Oval Office!
In his speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago tonight, President Joe Biden said put a prosecutor in the Oval Office instead of a convicted criminal, a slight or reference to former President Donald Trump! What a powerful speech he made tonight in his endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris!
Gino’s Deep Dish Pizza in Chicago!
Democratic National Convention delegates and Gino’s Pizza!

Dems Celebrate Nomination of Harris and Walz in Chicago!
In a resounding and collective voice delegates in the great city of Chicago did a role call to nominate Kamala Harris and Tim Walz as the next President and Vice President of the United States.
They couldn't due to the ballot deadline in swing states,
Georgia's deadline was a few days before the convention, and possibly other states, too. But the Democratic party DID have all delegates vote remotely, so people could have objected, but nobody did.
The Chicks could have sang “You Can’t Bamboozle Me!”
"The Chicks", formerly "The Dixie Chicks", due to their dispute with former President George W. Bush and their opposition to the Iraq War in 2003, could have sang "You Can't Bamboozle Me!" Instead, they sang "The Star Spangled Banner!" At the time of the Iraq War, the then Dixie Chicks said that they were ashamed at Bush being from Texas, as they were. I could see The Chicks on the big overhead screen at the DNC singing "You Can't Bamboozle Me!" Kudos to Peter Davidson for writing this song, which I predict will be a staple at many other rallies and conventions in the future!
Kamala Harris has had only one profession, for the People!
Kamala Harris proudly stated in her acceptance speech at the DNC that she has had only one profession or title, as compared with other past Presidents, and that was "For the People." I believe that, and is why I think that she will be the greatest President ever for these United States of America!
Proud of my hometown of Chicago and the DNC!
So proud of my hometown of Chicago and the just concluded Democratic National Convention! The convention was a tremendous success, and much of that can be attributed to the DNC Chairperson, Minyon Moore! Minyon was actually born in Chicago and graduated from Chicago Vocational High School (CVS), the same high school that NFL legend and former Chicago Bears linebacker Dick Butkus graduated from. Minyon Moore, the co-author of subject book about black women, which I had the pleasure and honor of writing the review of for the East County Magazine, brought so much excitement and spirit to the DNC, and so many newscasters and pundits have gone on record to say that it was the best political convention that they have ever attended. This certainly removes the stench and disaster of the previous Democratic National Convention held in Chicago in 1968. So proud of my hometown, where my children were born! Kudos to Minyon Moore
Chicago, America’s Largest Population of Palestinians!
I was just informed of this today by Karen Attiah, a reporter with the Washington Post. Being from Chicago, and with the Democratic National Convention convening today, I was not aware of the influx of Palestians!
well otherwise they wouldn't have been on the ballot in 3 States
they kinda had to Don, even the President would have had to hold a teleconference prior to the in-person meeting otherwise he wouldn't have been guaranteed ballot access the sitting President.
The eyes of the world will be on Chicago!
Yes, the eyes of the world will be on Chicago, starting on August 19, 2024, as Kamala Harris continues her run for President of the United States!
oh she's closer than someone I recommended
Ni hao mei guo ren I recommended someone else but good to see the Democratic nominee for President won't be left off the ballot in Georgia, Nevada and Ohio. Was Rihanna on the conference call, too? I believe I suggested her to emcee the call and Taylor Swift for VP but I read that even the middle-class in Minnessota get to eat and their parents are the main source of income tax that comps things like school breakfast and lunch so it's really good to see them included in his state.
Minyon Moore appears as guest on Joy Reid’s MSNBC show!
Minyon Moore, Chairperson of the just concluded Democratic National Convention held in my hometown of Chicago, appeared as a guest on the Joy Reid show on MSNBC today, to discuss with the host how the convention came about, along with the co-authors of subject book about black female empowerment, which I had the honor to write the review of in the East County Magazine in San Diego. The other co-authors, namely Donna Brazile, Yolanda Caraway and Leah Daughtry, sat down with Joy Reid to share their experiences on the convention and their book.
