EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING TODAY THROUGH MONDAY DUE TO TRIPLE-DIGIT TEMPERATURES

September 5, 2024 (San Diego) – The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for nearly all of San Diego County, due to dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures of up to 116 degrees in the desert and 102 degrees in inland cities and 104 in East County’s mountain communities.

Nights will stay warm, with temperatures mostly in the 70s even after dark.

Heat related illnesses increase significantly during  extreme heat events. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors, especially those without air conditioning.
